Here is why -
A military transport plane has skidded off the runway at Yangon International Airport resulting in temporary closure of the airport on Thursday morning.
“A Y8, military aircraft, skidded off the runway due to an engine failure. We are moving the aircraft from the runway,” said U Ye Htut Aung, deputy director general of the Department of Civil Aviation. There were no injuries reported.
